Effect – The magician freely shows three cards to the spectators. Two of the cards have Blue backs and one has a Red back. The audience is told that the Red card is a very special card and has the ability to retain heat. In fact it actually attracts heat.
The Red card is placed in between the two Blue backed cards and the magician explains that by moving the Blue cards in a circular motion they will begin to generate heat that will be picked up by the Red card.
While your audience is watching the sandwiched Red card slowly begins to visibly melt right through the bottom Blue card and falls onto the table. Once their eyes go back into their heads you can again freely show the cards.
